




10am to 12pm: screening of the film ‘Dunkirk’
In the original English version at the Art et Essai Le Studio 43 cinema in the heart of the town.
Christopher Nolan’s film, released in 2017, was a huge success all over the world. It is an original approach to the war movie. An immersive experience that leaves no one indifferent!
12:30 pm: lunch on board Princess Elizabeth
Built in England in 1926, this paddle steamer took part in Operation Dynamo. In four rotations, she managed to evacuate 1,673 Allied soldiers, including 500 French, from the ‘Hell of Dunkirk’. Moored in the port of Dunkirk since 1999, it has been home to a restaurant since 2017.
2.30pm to 4.30pm: ‘Dynamo Tour’
During this guided tour, we’ll show you the historic sites of the Battle of Dunkirk and Operation Dynamo, as well as the locations where the film was shot.
The tour can be done on foot or on board your coach. In the latter case, we make several stops to see the locations up close.
4.30pm to – 5:30pm: Self guided visit of the Dunkerque 1940 Museum
Enter barracks of the Bastion 32, the former command post of the French forces during the Battle of Dunkirk. The exhibits – uniforms, weapons and vehicles – bear witness to the lives of the soldiers, but also to the inhabitants of a city at war.
